Colorful ceramics for everyday use inspired by the beautiful Georgia Coast.

I grew up on St. Catherines Island along the Georgia coast. When I was old enough I even had to ride a boat to school! However, instead of attending class, I would much rather have been exploring, climbing live oak trees, playing at the beach, chasing down wildlife or fishing. Dinner (hopefully fish!) was something I always looked forward to. I think the best stories are told around the dinner table. That's why I make ceramics; because I want to be a part of that. I hope that my sea turtle or shorebird plates turn the conversation to the wonder of the Golden Isles and keeping it safe for future generations.
I roll out each piece using white earthenware clay. My technique involves soft slabs of clay and traditional hump molds. Dinnerware pieces are food, dishwasher, and microwave safe...so enjoy!
