13" Serving Platter

The Guale (pronounced Wally) were the native people of the Georgia coast. Their incised and stamped pottery inspired the designs for this platter. The impressions are from real oysters that are thousands of years old.

I roll out white clay like pie dough, cut the piece's shape and decorate with a hand painted "punctated" rim design. Then I lay it over a plaster form to dry a bit. Then I load up my kiln and fire. Next I paint the piece with colorful underglaze to highlight the details. Then I coat everything in layers of clear glaze and fire up the kiln again. Ta Da...glossy dinnerware!

This piece is food safe however due to it's size and textured design I recommend hand washing. Enjoy!

I am happy to ship outside the USA. Contact me for shipping costs.

**My designs are mine alone.**

I take great care when packing every piece. I wrap every piece in bubble wrap and fill the box with eco peanuts. For this reason I do not combine shipping for larger pieces. Because my schedule allows for limited ship days I cannot usually rush a shipment. If you have any questions please contact me. I am happy to answer them.

Each piece is handmade, hand painted, glazed and loaded in the kiln by me....I do everything I can to ensure that each one is beautiful. However, this process is not a perfect one. At times there are imperfections. Pieces may vary slightly.

If something arrives broken, kindly contact me within 24 hours of receipt. Please send pictures of the broken item and the box in witch it was shipped.
All items are otherwise FINAL SALE.
